چکیده
The aim of the current study was to attempt replicate finding that individual alpha frequency (IAF) as well absolute difference between IAF and 10 Hz stimulation (IAF-prox) is related treatment outcome. Correlations were performed investigate relationship IAF-prox percentage symptom improvement in a sample 153 patients with major depressive disorder treated (N = 59) left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) or 1 94) right DLPFC repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). There significant negative correlation only for group. Curve fitting models revealed there quadratic association response group, peak at IAF. main result Corlier colleagues replicated, findings suggest distance may influence clinical outcome non-linear manner. rTMS often administered Hz, which center EEG band. results can make contribution optimizing application rTMS.

Effects of High-Frequency Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on Motor Functions in Patients with Subcortical Stroke
Background: Motor function impairment occurs in approximately two-thirds of patients with subcortical stroke. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a noninvasive technique for modulating cortical excitability. Objectives: The present study was designed for assessing the efficacy of high-frequency rTMS (5 Hz) on ipsilesional primary motor cortex in patients with subcortical stro...
متن کاملThe effect of low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on the treatment of aphasia caused by cerebrovascular accident (CVA)
Background: Aphasia is a common outcome of Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) in which clinical interventions have limited effectiveness. Some evidence suggests that noninvasive stimulation of the brain can have beneficial effects in the treatment of CVA induced aphasia. In patients with motor aphasia, repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) is used to facilitate long-term improvement i...

BACKGROUND The mesolimbic dopaminergic reward system seems to play a crucial role in reinforcing effects of nicotine. Recently, acute high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) of frontal brain regions has been shown to efficiently modulate the mesostriatal and mesolimbic dopaminergic system in both animals and humans. For this reason, we investigated whether high-freque...

متن کاملBrain responses evoked by high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation: an event-related potential study.
BACKGROUND Many recent studies have used repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) to study brain-behavior relationships. However, the pulse-to-pulse neural effects of rapid delivery of multiple TMS pulses are unknown largely because of TMS-evoked electrical artifacts limiting recording of brain activity.ObjectiveIn this study, TMS-related artifacts were removed with independent compo...
